Niemniej zjawisko przedstawienia realistycznego dotyczy wszystkich epok w historii sztuki. W popularnym odbiorze wierne odwzorowanie rzeczywisto\u015bci jest traktowane jako \u201edobra sztuka\u201d. Jednak artystom nie o to chodzi. Oni wykorzystuj\u0105 dialog z obrazami realnymi, aby na ich \u201eciele\u201d budowa\u0107 w\u0142asne idee.<br \/>\nLudzie postrzegaj\u0105 \u015bwiat bardzo podobnie \u2013 zwraca si\u0119 on do wszystkich w tym samym j\u0119zyku. Od umiej\u0119tno\u015bci reagowania na ten przekaz zale\u017cy nasze przetrwanie i porozumienie z innymi. Dlatego j\u0119zyk, w kt\u00f3rym m\u00f3wi do nas rzeczywisto\u015b\u0107, jest tak czu\u0142y na przeinaczenia. Ka\u017cda zmiana koloru, wielko\u015bci i odleg\u0142o\u015bci staje si\u0119 strategicznie wa\u017cna i mo\u017ce decydowa\u0107 o \u017cyciu. Arty\u015bci wykorzystuj\u0105 wra\u017cliwo\u015b\u0107 obrazu realnego i tworz\u0105 na tej bazie w\u0142asne j\u0119zyki. \u0141agodz\u0105 go lub brutalizuj\u0105, mieszaj\u0105 lub deformuj\u0105 postaci, wprowadzaj\u0105 akcenty absurdu, przerysowuj\u0105 ekspresje i manipuluj\u0105 nimi, odrealniaj\u0105 kolory\u2026 W ten spos\u00f3b m\u00f3wi\u0105 j\u0119zykiem realistycznym o rzeczach, kt\u00f3re z obrazem rzeczywistym nie maj\u0105 wiele wsp\u00f3lnego. Wiek XX by\u0142 dobrym nauczycielem. Przerobi\u0142 kubizm, abstrakcj\u0119 i geometri\u0119, wprowadzi\u0142 kola\u017c, wideo oraz techniki komputerowe. Artysta wsp\u00f3\u0142czesny potrafi wydoby\u0107 z obraz\u00f3w realnych zaskakuj\u0105ce refleksje \u2013 na ka\u017cdy temat.<\/p>\n<p>Ta wystawa prezentuje prace m\u00f3wi\u0105ce w j\u0119zyku realistycznym o wszystkim, co obecnie wa\u017cne.<\/p>\n<p>\/\/<\/p>\n<p>'Contemporary Models of Realism&#8217;<br \/>\nCurator: Monika Kozio\u0142<\/p>\n<p>The term \u2018realism\u2019 appeared in the second half of the 19th century. Nevertheless, the phenomenon of realistic representation applies throughout art history. In the popular perception, \u2018good art\u2019 is a faithful representation of reality. This is not, however, what artists consider the most important. They engage in a dialogue with realistic images using their tangibility as raw material to build their concepts.<br \/>\nWe all perceive the world in a similar manner \u2013 it addresses all of us in the same language. Our communication with others and our very survival depends on how we respond to those messages. This is why the language in which reality addresses us is sensitive to the smallest changes. Each alteration of colour, size or distance acquires a strategic importance and can become a matter of life or death. Artists fine-tune the sensitivity of real images, using it to create their own language; they soften or brutalise them, blurring or deforming the figures; they introduce touches of absurdity, exaggerate and manipulate expressions and make colours unrealistic. In this way, they engage realistic language to talk about things that have little in common with a representation of reality. In their works they comment on the perceived rationale of existence, and the time and political era we are living in, with their accompanying mood, dreams and aberrations.<\/p>\n<p>Contemporary art has crossed another linguistic frontier of realistic representation. The 20th century proved very instructive, progressing through cubism, abstract and geometric art, and introducing collage, video and computer techniques.
