It seems that, among the 20th c. emancipation processes, the most revolutionary one was the turn towards unsolicited love in the process of starting a family. Love has become the new building block in constructing a vision of our existence, the feeling that gives meaning to our life, and determines our close relationships with other people. Love resonates also in the public area – it has become the primary ideal in political practice, expressed in the form of concern for people. This is shown in the manner in which the current sanitary crisis is being managed by democratic and non-democratic countries, which have predominantly focused on providing help if the threat is defined and common.
We have been close to an ideal. What belonged to the private, individual, intimate sphere has become public, collective and universal.
