The leading Springtime event for modern and contemporary<\/span>
\nart in Paris.\u00a0Held in the Grand Palais from 31st March to 3rd April 2016, Art Paris Art Fair is the leading\u00a0event in the Spring art calendar of the French capital, bringing together some 145 galleries\u00a0from a score of different countries.<\/span>
\nOpen to all forms of artistic expression including design, Art Paris Art Fair offers a broad\u00a0vision of art from the post-war period to the present day while the thematic sectors focus on\u00a0discovery. The exhibitions in Solo Show present an in-depth look at the work of an individual\u00a0artist while Promises showcases young galleries and emerging artists. Digital mapping and\u00a0video art are given pride of place with monumental projections on the fa\u00e7ade of the Grand\u00a0Palais.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 5th edition of the \u201cSpringtime in Paris\u201d programme of visits for collectors and art\u00a0professionals at the end of March highlights the dynamism of the Parisian art scene, in particular\u00a0with several new contemporary art spaces and architecture that are defining the new face of\u00a0the French capital in the 21st Century.<\/span>
\nSouth Korea Guest of Honour\u00a0After Singapore and Southeast Asia, Art Paris Art Fair confirms its established identity as a fair\u00a0that looks to the East. In 2016, South Korea will be guest of honour, an invitation that comes in\u00a0the context of the celebration of France-Korea year that will offer an exceptional insight into\u00a0contemporary artistic production from this Asian country. Korean exhibition curator Sang-A\u00a0CHUN has been asked to oversee the South Korea Guest of Honour project which promises<\/span>
\nto highlight the rich diversity of artistic creation form the \u201cland of the morning calm,\u201d from\u00a0the emergence of a specific contemporary art scene in the 1980s to the effervescence of the\u00a0present day. The programme includes a selection of galleries from Seoul, Busan and Daegu,\u00a0talks, performances, video screenings\u2026<\/span>
\nSouth Korea Guest of Honour at Art Paris Art Fair 2016 is part of the official programme of\u00a0France-Korea Year 2015-2016 (www.anneefrancecoree.com).<\/span>
\nSang-A CHUN : South Korean-born exhibition curator Sang-A CHUN works between Paris\u00a0and Seoul. After graduating in Aesthetics and the Science and Technology of Art from the\u00a0University of Paris VIII, she has organized and curated some 50 exhibitions since 2000. She\u00a0has also developed and conducted a number of public art and culture projects (sculpture,\u00a0interventions and performances.) She was notably responsible for: \u201cMaking & Being\u201d at the\u00a0Korean Cultural Centre in Brussels, \u201cPlastic Nature,\u201d at Vanessa Quang Gallery in Paris, \u201cPoint\u00a0Virgule \/ Seung-hye Hong & Felice Vanini\u201d at the Korean Cultural Centre in Paris, \u201cParadise \/\u00a0Jeong-hwa Choi,\u201d at Point \u00c9ph\u00e9m\u00e8re in Paris, \u201cEffets Mythologiques \/ Kang-hyun Ahn,\u201d at the<\/span>
\nIn Famous Carousel Festival at the Palais de Tokyo, the Centre Pompidou etc., \u201cThe Sentimental\u00a0\/ Seung-hye Hong,\u201d at the Nuit Blanche in Paris, \u201cThe Poetics of Space\u201d with Daniel Buren,\u00a0Fran\u00e7ois Morrelet, Felice Varini and St\u00e9phane Dafflon at the Whanki Museum in Seoul\u2026 Since\u00a02011, she has been in charge of contemporary art exhibitions at the Korean Cultural Centre in\u00a0Paris as well as working independently on projects in a variety of art spaces.<\/span>

Art Paris Art Fair fait son retour au Grand Palais, du 31 mars au 3 avril 2016. Pendant quatre jours, plus de 58.000 personnes feront le d\u00e9placement pour d\u00e9couvrir 143 galeries de vingt pays diff\u00e9rents. Cette ann\u00e9e, Art Paris Art Fair fait une part belle \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation cor\u00e9enne ! Et comme une bonne nouvelle ne vient jamais seule, nous avons des invitations \u00e0 vous offrir !<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Comme chaque ann\u00e9e, le Grand Palais<\/strong> accueille l’art contemporain, dans toutes ses formes, pour Art Paris Art Fair, une foire d\u00e9di\u00e9e \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation contemporaine internationale et aux jeunes talents<\/strong>. Cette ann\u00e9e, la Cor\u00e9e du Sud<\/strong> est l’invit\u00e9e d\u2019honneur de l\u2019\u00e9dition 2016, avec le commissariat laiss\u00e9 \u00e0 Sang-A CHUN.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ainsi, avec 80 artistes sud-cor\u00e9ens repr\u00e9sent\u00e9s \u00e0 Art Paris Art Fair, on retrouve aussi bien la g\u00e9n\u00e9ration des tous premiers modernistes comme Ungno Lee, au carrefour des traditions orientales et occidentales que les ma\u00eetres de l\u2019art abstrait li\u00e9s \u00e0 la mouvance de Dansaekhwa, art myst\u00e9rieux et po\u00e9tique du monochrome cor\u00e9en dont les ambassadeurs les plus connus seront pr\u00e9sents comme Lee Ufan, Myeong-Ro Youn sont des incontournables de la sc\u00e8ne artistique internationale.<\/span><\/p>\n

Port\u00e9s par le succ\u00e8s des \u00e9ditions de la foire Art Paris Art Fair<\/a>, l’\u00e9dition 2016 appuie son initiative d’ouverture \u00e0 l’international, en mettant \u00e0 l’honneur plus de 70 galeries \u00e9trang\u00e8res<\/strong>, sur les 143 galeries rassembl\u00e9es sous la coupole du Grand Palais.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ainsi, pour citer des galeries participantes : A. Cette ann\u00e9e, la foire explore les r\u00e9gions europ\u00e9ennes<\/strong> et pr\u00e9sente des galeties de villes singuli\u00e8res internationales \u00e0 l’instar des galeries Bob Gysin (Zurich), Art Bartschi & Cie (Gen\u00e8ve), La Balsa Arte (Bogota), Silk Road (T\u00e9h\u00e9ran), Studio Visconti (Milan) et le retour de Ditesheim & Maffei Fine Art (Neuchatel) et r\u00e9gionales, avec trois galeries de Marseille (Galerie Didier Gouvernnec Ogor, B\u00e9a-Ba et Najuma), deux galeries bordelaises (DX et X\u00e9non), une enseigne lilloise (C\u00e9dric Bacqueville), lyonnaise (Fran\u00e7oise Besson), rennaise (Oniris) et une galerie strasbourgeoise (Galerie Jean-Pierre Ritsch Fisch).<\/span><\/p>\n

Art Paris Art Fair est aussi l’occasion de d\u00e9couvrir des Solo Show, une vingtaine d\u2019expositions personnelles, diss\u00e9min\u00e9es dans la foire, qui permettent au public de d\u00e9couvrir ou de red\u00e9couvrir des artistes modernes, contemporains ou \u00e9mergents gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une exposition personnelle, cette ann\u00e9e le syrien Fadi Yazigi chez Tanit, le peintre fran\u00e7ais Damien Cabanes \u00e0 la Galerie Eric Dupont pour ne citer qu’eux.<\/span><\/p>\n

Enfin, la foire Art Paris Art Fair<\/strong> d\u00e9voile ses Promesses, sa s\u00e9lection de 10 jeunes galeries, dont 50 Golborne (Londres), ART\u2019LOFT Lee-Bauwens Gallery (Bruxelles), Bildhalle (Zurich), Galerie B\u00e9a-Ba (Marseille), Brandt Gallery (Amsterdam), Espace L (Gen\u00e8ve),Galerie Virginie Louvet (Paris), s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9es pour leur caract\u00e8re novateur.<\/span><\/p>\n
