\nArtystka wizualna, eksperymentatorka. Poszukuje zale\u017cno\u015bci pomi\u0119dzy \u015bwiadomo\u015bci\u0105, a pod\u015bwiadomo\u015bci\u0105, szuka w\u0142a\u015bciwej roli cz\u0142owieka w naturze i mo\u017cliwo\u015bci porozumienia mi\u0119dzygatunkowego miedzy cz\u0142owiekiem, a zwierz\u0119ciem. W swoich dzia\u0142aniach porusza kwesti\u0119 egzystencji praktycznie w ka\u017cdej p\u0142aszczy\u017anie. Wystawia swoje prace w kraju (m.in. Agata Kus
\nUrodzi\u0142a si\u0119 w 1987 roku w Kro\u015bnie. Mieszka i pracuje w Krakowie. Jest absolwentk\u0105 i doktorantk\u0105 Wydzia\u0142u Malarstwa Akademii Sztuk Pi\u0119knych w Krakowie. Dyplom w pracowni prof. Leszka Misiaka obroni\u0142a w 2012. W latach 2010-2014 by\u0142a asystentk\u0105 w atelier Pauliny O\u0142owskiej. Zajmuje si\u0119 malarstwem, wideo i performancem. Jest laureatk\u0105 wielu nagr\u00f3d i stypendi\u00f3w, w tym zwyci\u0119\u017cczyni\u0105 Mi\u0119dzynarodowego Biennale Sztuki Medi\u00f3w WRO 2015 we Wroc\u0142awiu (Nagroda G\u0142\u00f3wna za wieloekranow\u0105 instalacj\u0119 wideo Kochanka). Jej obrazy znajduj\u0105 si\u0119 min. w kolekcji Muzeum Sztuki Wsp\u00f3\u0142czesnej MOCAK w Krakowie oraz w licznych kolekcjach prywatnych w Polsce i zagranic\u0105.<\/p>\n

Kamila Model (ur. 1988 r.)
\nMalarka, absolwentka Akademii Sztuk Pi\u0119knych w Gda\u0144sku. Dyplom obroni\u0142a w 2012 roku na Wydziale Malarstwa. W 2015 roku znalaz\u0142a si\u0119 na 22 miejscu w Kompasie M\u0142odej Sztuki, rankingu dla m\u0142odych tw\u00f3rc\u00f3w kultury. W 2016 roku Muzeum Narodowe w Gda\u0144sku naby\u0142o do swojej kolekcji obraz artystki pt. „La Planet\u00e9 Sauvage”. Dwukrotnie otrzyma\u0142a Stypendium Kulturalne Miasta Gda\u0144ska. Jej ostatnie indywidualne wystawy odby\u0142y si\u0119 w 2015 roku w Pawilonie Sztuki i w Fundacji Rodziny Stark\u00f3w w Warszawie.<\/p>\n

Diana Ronnberg
\nSzwedzko-polska absolwentka wydzia\u0142u komunikacji multimedialnej na ASP w Poznaniu w latach 2004-2009. Obecnie doktorantka u prof. Grzegorza Klamana na ASP w Gda\u0144sku. Laureatka stypendi\u00f3w i konkurs\u00f3w video. W wolnych chwilach \u015bpiewa i pisze teksty o tematyce egzystencjalnej. Umys\u0142em uwik\u0142ana w badaniu linii, kt\u00f3re tworz\u0105 wszelkie granice, sercem przebywa w lesie z \u017ce\u0144sk\u0105 cz\u0119\u015bci\u0105 jej watahy.<\/p>\n

Second Skin<\/em> is an exhibition devoted to doubleness, alternative worlds, but also the relation with nature and the search for the sense of security. The group show features artists of the young generation from Gda\u0144sk, Cracow and Katowice.<\/span><\/p>\n

Diana Ronnberg moves deftly across a diverse range of styles and media. Her stage images acquire extremely different forms \u2013 from lyrical feminine photographs, to simple childlike drawings, to bold music videos of the duo Combi Cats, which she co-creates with Kordian Lewandowski. The artist also feels at home in the world of literature \u2013 she is the author of the book Sercem w lesie <\/i>[By the Heart in the Forest]. Diana Ronnberg changes her artistic skin in a fluid and very convincing way, and therefore her works continue to strike the viewers as surprising. In turn, the work of Kamila Model is more balanced \u2013 her paintings are filled with bright patches of pastel colours. The shapes of abstract forms evoke the world of microorganisms examined under the microscope, which seem to flow in front of the viewer’s eyes. The artist’s paintings emanate tranquillity and present nature \u2013 the source of her inspiration \u2013 as a mysterious, safe and benign world. In formal terms, Model’s works bear resemblance to the delicate structure of the human skin. Or maybe the skin of an unknown extraterrestrial being? Another artist, Agata Kus, is interested in dualism, the second face, and deconstruction. Her large-scale paintings represent what seems to be everyday stories, which are real and surreal at the same time. The symmetrical reflection of the presented figures may bring to mind split personality. Or maybe just a sisterly relation with the mirror reflection? Or impaired, double vision? The seemingly simple narratives evoke a plethora of interpretative tropes, introducing the viewer into a parallel world of the protagonists of Agata Kus’ paintings. Natalia Ba\u017cowska creates paintings and installations that focus on human nature \u2013 human physicality and emotions. Her works often concern the moments of passage, the instants when we drop our old skin, but still have not made it to the other side. We are suspended in a safe cocoon, right before hatching out.<\/span><\/p>\n

Second Skin<\/em> is the first exhibition in the cycle North \u2013 South<\/em>. The project showcases works by Tri-City artists in confrontation with artists from the south of Poland.<\/span><\/p>\n
